Referee ruled it a goal to make it 3-2 in favor of England. Germany lost the game and the WC by 2-4. Current technology reveals that the ball did not past the goal line. It was really harsh decision for the Germans.

England's Frank Lampard's shot from the edge of the German box struck the underside of the crossbar and bounced down. Referee ruled it as not goal.Germany went on winning 4-1 and advanced to the quarter finals. The replay and the below picture reveals that the ball dropped after the goal line and it was a clear goal.
