History repeats - German's smiling this time.

July 30, 1966; London, England: 97th minute(ET) of England-Germany WC final match. Score was 2-2. England's Geoff Hurst's shot struck the underside of the crossbar and bounced down. Referee ruled it a goal to make it 3-2 in favor of England. Germany lost the game and the WC by 2-4. Current technology reveals that the ball did not past the goal line. It was really harsh decision for the Germans.

World Cup 2010

There were a lot of work at office in the last few days, didn't get time to spend on the blog. Just trying to watch few matches in the World Cup football. It is sad to see the host (South Africa) getting out in the first round. The fans must be very disappointed. Also, the defending champions Italy and 2006 finalist France are out of the WC. I never liked Italy as they used to play more defensive football. However, this time I saw them playing more attacking football, which is good for the game. Probably, this is the main reason they are out of the WC now. But I hope they will continue to play attacking football in the coming years and never goes back to defensive again. I'm glad to see 2 Asian countries could make it to final 16; Korea republic and Japan. I just hope at least one team goes to the quarter final. Unfortunately, I could not watch any game of Argentina, Brazil and The Netherlands.  I hope they play well in the knockout stages.

All set for the knock-out games. The matches will be more interesting now. The weekend is making it better for me to watch the exciting encounters. I guess, the whole world is also looking forward to these matches.

Stepping into the world!!!

Hello everyone!!!

This is my first blog entry. I am super excited. I hope i can post interesting things here on a regular basis. This is a nice way to reach to the world, a great way to express your thoughts. I wonder, if Mahatma Gandhi, Saheed Bhagat Singh or Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose could have got similar tool that time, India’s independence would have been much earlier. I believe, everyone have some ideas to improve our social, personal life or ideas to bring changes in society to make it better. The idea can be small to improve a lifestyle or big enough to bring about a revolution. If you believe in that idea, you should let the world know. And blog is probably the easiest and more importantly the cheapest way to share your ideas to the world. So, if you haven’t started blogging… start now.

Happy blogging!!!!
