Visakhapatnam - Trip to remember
We visited Vizag or Visakhapatnam back in 2007. The place being far away from Bangalore, it was a bit difficult to plan for the trip within a very short time. Anyway, we planned the trip during the X-mas holidays. We took Prasanti Express to reach there from Bangalore. Little bit of tension crippled into as we set to catch the train. It was all my fault. That time we shifted our house further away from the railway station. But I kept that out of my mind and started from home just 1:30 hrs before the train's scheduled departure. Soon, i realized from the cab-driver that it might take more than that time to reach the station. Understanding my goof-up, the cab-driver drove the vehicle almost like a crazy F1 driver and reached the station 5 mins before the departure. The train journey was pleasant and we reached Vizag next afternoon.

Donate blood - save life
Recently, I got really inspired by an advertisement on the television. It is related to blood donation. I am not here to reiterate it's importance. Everyone understands it. You can donate blood in blood donation camps organized by some clubs and associations. However, live blood donation is probably more satisfying. I am yet to get such a noble opportunity (probably, my blood group is so common).
I found few websites which work on this (live blood donation). You can get registered there and become a blood donor. They will inform you whenever blood (of your group) is required.

Trip to Chikmagalur
As promised in the Hampi post, I'm writing the experience of the trip to Chikmagalur, Karnataka. Historic temples at Belur and Halebid of Hoyasala Dynasty fall on the way to it and a small diverted route towards Hassan, leads to Shravanabelagola, a Jain pilgrimage. We included these places in the trip.

Weekend trip to Hampi
It should be hard to find someone who does not like to visit new places. My wife and I are not exceptions. Although, hill stations or beaches seem more exciting to us, we fell in love with historic places and the ancient artwork once we visited the temples at Belur and Halebid. Probably, I'll write about those sometime later. Hampi being UNESCO world heritage site and part of the capital of the famous Vijayanagara Empire, naturally attracted us. Reference of the Hindu epic Ramayana in Hampi added more excitement.

Commuting in bangalore made easy
Commuting inside Bangalore in car is sometimes very painful mainly because of 2 reasons - traffic jams and parking. Few days ago, I had to go to Jayanagar IV Block and I was planning to take some alternative way of commuting. I found some interesting information related to this on the Internet. If you are a Bangalorean, I hope these information help you.
